New Year Blog Rest

It seems I've reached that stage again where I've lost interest in blogging. It happens to us all.
Perhaps I need a New Years break. The feedback and comments has been so poor towards
the end of last year. And despite the blog's regular daily visitors it's failed to accumulate a
regular crowd of commenters, something that any blog needs to keep alive.
And more worryingly quite a few old time visititors and regulars going back to my previous blog
seem to have disappeared, preferring to quietly visit and read the comments rather than leave one.
And when the comments do dry up then I simply cant help but lose interest in it all.
The b/f  keeps telling me I should put my energy into something else. He's really been anti
blogging since I started in Jan 2007, but then I never listen to him if it's something I enjoy doing.
You cant tell a kid to choose something else if he's set his heart on becoming a Policeman or a
Fireman.
Perhaps there are now just too many blogs out there for people to stop by long enough to read
something or watch a video. I know other bloggers have been having similar problems when long
posts and questionnaires get ignored. People seem to have short attention spans which is partly
why I gave up long text posts.
There's also the latest attraction of bloggers moving over to Tumblrs and Twitter.
We are a fickle crowd it seems. One blogger recently told me how they had a two year period
of e-mail contact with another blogger who was once one of the main contributers here and even
more so on my old blog. Dont you just love human nature.

But I was thinking that before taking a rest I might completely remove the 'Followers' gadget as
most of the links there have got absolutely nothing to do with The Beauty Hunter. I've often heard of
other bloggers having similar problems, If you know what I mean. I think I'll also hack away quite a
few links on the blog link list so as to  shorten it, particularly ones that dont actually visit here, and for
one's that do but dont participate with any feedback. Hopefully I can sort that out over the next few days
and maybe freshen up some of the side picture banners.

But for now I've put up a final few posts before taking a blog rest.

Tom Daley... Cover Boy!

It's not so easy to ruffle through the weekend newspaper supplements these days as they're mostly
sealed up which explains why I missed this particular one last October which featured national treasure
and Olympic diver 16 yr old Tom Daley. The weekend magazine item was published to tie in with
the BBC's intimate documentary portrait titled 'Tom the Diver and his Dad.'

The documentary showed us Tom in some intimate family moments with his Dad and brothers
although we didn't see very much of his Mother. The centre of the family seemed to be Tom's
Dad who during the last year has been attending Hospital for brain scans and so was not able
to accompany Tom on some of his travels to important diving events. We also got to see Tom
celebrating his 16th Birthday, relaxing in his bedroom and topping up his tan on the garden
trampoline, although the Daley family garden looks worryingly overlooked from all sides.
Just one of the curses of overcrowded dwellings. But that's Tom for you. He'll go to any
lengths to top up that famous tan. The ongoing mystery is how he manages to keep a dark
Spanish tan throughout our winter months.
I did make quite a few stills from the documentary but just never got round to posting them up.
But it was interesting watching the relationship between Tom and his Dad who at times appeared
to be a bit overbearing with his famous sibling not knowing when to give Tom some space.

SHAMELESS AND ELLIOTT FINALLY RETURN TO UK TV

It's a complete mystery to me why television programmers at the BBC and ITV prioritize medical and
crime dramas as it's dominant output to entertain the nation. I realize that in real life the people that
work in Hospitals do an amazing job. But to me a Hospital is somewhere I spent two very stressful
short stays for sinus operations, the first one which needed a longer recovery stay as I'd stupidly
left it so long to have it seen to. It's also a place where I was needed to go visit elderly relatives who
basically ended their days there, the very Hospital I had both operations done. So you might
understand why Hospitals are not my favourite places.
And yet there are tv anoracks out there that simply cant start their Saturday night without watching
the latest episode of 'Casualty' or 'Holby City' the BBC's main medical dramas.
And whenever a brand new drama emerges on any of the main channels you can be 99% sure it's
going to be a crime drama. What is our obsession with crime on tv?

So it was with great relief to learn that a new series of Shameless returns to our screens
on Monday January 10th featuring hot Brit property Elliott Tittensor and the hilarious
David Threllfall (both pictured above). The last series was as good as ever although it
seemed to go out with a wimper unlike the previous series 6.

Below is a video from last year of Elliott talking about his role as Carl in Shameless. We also
get to hear him mentioning the infamous cock sock which he wore in many of his nude scenes
during the last series plus he also talks about his love of Reggae music which he was first
introduced to by his twin brother Luke.

Little Taiko Boy... Kiyoshi Shishido

KIYOSHI SHISHIDO IN LITTLE TAIKO BOY

Just before Christmas I got sent this video (below) from Bryan Jackson who directed it with the
emphasis on putting out a safer-sex message and to promote a somewhat different way of wrapping
gifts for loved ones. The short film combines western holiday traditions with shinto mythology and
Japanese gay culture.
Featured in the film among several of the actors is model and actor Kiyoshi Shishido who first grabbed
my attention when I first saw his pictures on Model Mayhem HERE. Some of his best shots were done
by top Asian photographer Gary Xu.

The music in Little Taiko Boy by Dickie Greenleaf is a safer-sex parody of the Christmas carol
'The Little Drummer Boy' with such lines as...

Cum, they told me Pa-rum Pum Pum
But never in my Rump Pa Pum Pum
It's so much safer to cum in a con-dom
Or lets just masturbate, for it can be fun
You can still cum on my Tum Tum.
